Clear to me though whether a satellite unit can operate standalone, (without an Apollo etc), or whether it would even qualify for native plugins? A satellite can be used to power UAD-2 plugins without an Apollo, etc. and... ...any UAD2 device will do the trick. #8 My point wasn't so much about a dongle it was more about missing out on the advantages of UA hardware and what it can do for your workflow.I stated dongle because that would be what you are basically turning the UAD-2 product into a dongle for your account to validate ownership instead of getting some use from it.You can easily do what you are asking but even a small quad USB or TB Satellite would be wasted if you didn't actually use it.Rest assured right now there's a better chance of things getting ported to native UADx than UAD-3 showing up and killing the UAD-2 aspect. If UAD-3 which is currently a internet myth would effect your UAD hardware it would basically effect your UAD software as well since they are tied together.I survived both the TC Electronics and Focusrite DSP crash and UA doesn't even feel remotely like what went on it those 2 situations.I am really happy for that without a doubt. #9 My point wasn't so much about a dongle it was more about missing out on the advantages of UA hardware and what it can do for your workflow. I ask because I have ample UAD shark processors for running UAD plugins but am still using an older Mac. When I am I at the later stages of mixing, the third party... uadforum.com and I still can't find some answers.I've got API Summing for Luna.To get API Vision Console Emulation, I'd need- API Vision channel strip collection- API 2500- API Preamp1. Since the API preamp is "kind of" already included in the API Vision channel strip collection, would it be cheaper to buy it last, or there is no discount in this case ?2. According to answers, "LUNA API Vision Console Emulation Bundle" price is auto-calculated considering what I already own. My price is 421€. Total for the 3 others is 260€. Why is there such a big difference ?Thanks Sébastien Last edited: May 29, 2023 Deif Venerated Member #2 what's your price on the 2+2 bundle? That's probably the cheapest route to get the 4 elements you're missing. Regarding the price of bundles vs buying individual plugins. That happens a lot of with bundles and there's no explanation for it. Just buy whatever comes out cheaper. #3 actually bundles are discounted up to a maximum of 75%, so generally leaving the cheapest plug-in as last purchase. Hello all, I've just recently (2 weeks ago) purchased a Quad Neve pack and installed it on my Dual Core AMD4400+ XP 32bit PC, and it worked perfectly, the sun was shining and I was happy. A few weeks later (that's about 3 days ago for those who need accurate timescales), I put together a shiny new 6gb Intel i7 PC running the same XP 32bit os, and transported my UAD 2 into it's new home/apartment/condo.I authenticated the card via a usb stick downloaded .auth file and in the UAD meter/ control panel, and I could see that all my plugs had correctly authenticated. Booting Cubase SX3, and Cubase sees all the plugs, lovely-jubly.But as soon as I try to put a plug on an insert, cubase freezes (for about 4-5 minutes) then a nice pop-up window appears saying:Sorry, one or more of your UAD Powered Plug-ins have been disabled. The UAD-2 is not responding. Please note the state of the UAD-2 LED and contact UA Customer support if the problem persists. At this point, my happy-face emoticon status changed, to a sad/angry/£1.5k out-of-pocket-with-an-album-partially-mixed-on-a-UAD-card-that-no-longer-wanted-to-play-along....face.So I checked the LED... solid green. Checked the UAD Control Panel... card status is OK and all plugs authenticated.I tried a few things, like uninstalling, re-installing, uninstalling then spending half an hour deleting the numerous Universal Audio entries in my registry that the UAD Uninstaller failed to remove. Re-installed again... same deal as before.I cried myself to sleep that night.Next morning, full of optimism and tea, I have another go at it, by formatting the new PC's HDD, and starting from fresh (the reasoning being, I'm probably an idiot and have done something that has resulted in a "digital spanner" being thrown into the works).A few hours later, I eventually reach a point where XP is up and running and everything I'm going to need for my studio PC is installed, so lastly I add the UAD 2, but get the same 5 minute time-out and failure notification. Many coarse words are spoken and threats to hardware are made. For a laugh, I boot up Wavelab and try to insert a

Updated June 05, 2024 17:16 How do I transfer Apollo/UAD-2 hardware to a new owner? Please follow the transfer instructions in this article.I bought a used Apollo or UAD-2 accelerator and I need to register it to my account. How can I register it?Used hardware can be registered using the hardware serial number. Please follow the instructions in this article.I'm trying to register Apollo/UAD-2 hardware but UA Connect does not accept my serial number.UA Connect is not used for registering Apollo/UAD-2 hardware and it does not display your Apollo/UAD-2 plug-ins. UA Connect does not add Apollo or Satellite Hardware.Use this guide for help with registering an Apollo, UAD-2 Satellite, or UAD-2 PCIe card.I transferred the device out of my account but the new owner is having difficulty with registration. If the device that you are transferring belongs to a System in your account that includes other UAD devices, then all devices in that system must be re-authorized for the transfer to complete. Note that this only applies when transferring the plug-in library out of your account with the device. You'll need to connect any UAD hardware belonging to that system (including the hardware that is being transferred) and click the “Authorize Plugins…” button in the Plug-Ins section of UAD Meter & Control Panel. If you no longer have the hardware that you're transferring, the new owner can complete the authorization for those devices. Once all of the devices have been authorized, then the transfer should complete.I’ve transferred my hardware out of my account but my “hardware transfer is pending.” Is this normal? This is normal. The device will remain in your account in a pending state until a new owner has registered the device.I'm trying to register a device but see the message, “This device has already been requested to transfer” – what does that mean? Most commonly, this means the registration process has already been started, and registration simply needs to be completed by authorizing plug-ins from the UAD-meter & Control Panel Application. The device does need to be detected by the UAD-meter.This message also appears when you transfer a device out of your account, it is placed in a pending state where it will remain until the new owner registers the device.Where a seller has transferred their plug-in library out of their account with a device, they need to ensure they authorize plug-ins for all devices registered to the system when transferring a device out of their account, otherwise the new owner may see this error when trying to register. If you transfer a device out of your own account and then try to re-register back to your own account, you will see this error message. In that case, you will need to contact the Customer Care team.I transferred hardware out of my account and see this error:The transfer has been started, authorising plug-ins has completed the process and you cannot re-register the hardware to your own account.I have requested a transfer but I would like to cancel it.If you have transferred devices out

One or more tracks while playing back a session. All audio and MIDI tracks, buses, the main output, and hardware outputs are delay-compensated on playback, so everything stays tightly synchronized.Plug-in processing (Apollo mode only)Previously, with UAD Console, you had to choose whether or not to record insert effects on input channels. In LUNA, as with the UAD Console, Unison insert processing is always recorded to disk. However, unlike the UAD Console, each input channel has four available Record FX slots in addition to eight standard inserts (used for any combination of Audio Unit or UAD plug-ins). These inserts allow you to record through up to four UAD plug-ins on any available input channel (depending on available UAD DSP resources). In addition, UAD and non-UAD plug-ins can be assigned to standard Inserts (not recorded to disk) for monitoring while you record, without being recorded to disk.Notes on plug-in processing:Only UAD plug-ins can be monitored on a record-enabled track when Accelerated Realtime Monitoring is enabled. When you enable ARM, any Audio Unit plug-ins on a record or input-enabled track are disabled.UADx plug-ins convert automatically to UAD plug-ins when tracks or buses that require UAD processing are put into ARM mode. So, for example, in ARM mode, if your vocal track feeds an ARM-enabled bus with a UADx Pure Plate Reverb inserted, and you record-enable that vocal track, the UADX Pure Plate Reverb is switched out for the UAD-2 Pure Plate Reverb (if you have the plug-in).When you add an Audio Unit plug-in to a record or input-enabled track when ARM is enabled, the plug-in is added in an inactive state, and LUNA displays a notification that the plug-in is disabled. When a track is record or input-enabled in ARM mode, the last four standard inserts are disabled.LUNA and UAD ConsoleYou never need to use UAD Console when you are using LUNA in Apollo mode. LUNA replaces almost all functions for which you previously used UAD Console. LUNA also includes a number of features that UAD Console does not.For example, a LUNA session includes persistent Inputs. When you configure a LUNA track with an input, all settings, including Unison plug-ins, Record FX plug-ins, and Insert effect plug-ins, are retained on that track. You can reuse the same input on your Apollo on multiple tracks, and each track in the session will continue to retain the settings that were last used for it, even after you close and reopen the session. If you prefer to use UAD Console, the settings you configure in UAD Console are removed when LUNA starts, and restored after you quit LUNA. Note that the Isolate and Flex Routing features are configured in UAD Console.Console Isolate featureIsolate retains current channel settings when. A short review. My first impression when I compared the CL1B with my UAD and Sonnox compressor plugins was: "Hm, both the UAD and Sonnox Plugins sound better."After some hours of extensive testing the CL1B on different sound sources I came to the conclusion. The CL1B sounds different. Not worse than UAD or Sonnox, but different and I like to have compressors with different sound. For 275 US Dollar not really cheap for a single plugin, but not much more expensive than the UAD plugins. However, the softube guys seem to be really cool guys so I support them.
